Pet Of The Month - Ozzy
Nicknames I call Him: Oz, Ozzer, O-man, Swamie
Likes: Treats, Ball Play, Cows, Tug, Rabbits
Dislikes: Very Cold Days, Hot Days
Interesting Fact: Born on St. Patrick's Day

Ozzy is a 6 year old Black Labrador Mix. For over 2 years, I have visited Ozzy 3
times each week for an extended exercise session in the late morning. He stood
out very quickly to be a very smart and loving dog. We have gotten to know
each other very well during our time together. Ozzy has some issues with his
hips and joint soreness. Recently, Ozzy had to under go ACL surgery on both of
his back legs at the same time. During his recovery, Ozzy and I slowed our
routine down to suit his needs. His parents did a great job taking care of him
and making sure he had a fast and smooth recovery. Today Ozzy is better than
ever. Our typical routine consists of a fast paced walk and jog combination
down to visit his cow friends. Ozzy sets the pace with a little motivation from me.
One of the strongest dogs I have cared for, Ozzy must weigh a good 90 pounds
or more with lots of muscle.

Ozzy has a great life. He lives in a remote area where there are
lots of options for walks and exercise. He often spends the summer weekends at
the lake. It has been a great gift for me to bond with Ozzy.
He is a very special dog who i'm always excited to see.
